Staying Healthy with Essential Oils

The post is sponsored by Simply Earth. Opinions are 100% my own.

In case you haven’t heard, we are in the middle of a nasty flu season. I am going everything I can to help keep my family healthy and flu-free. I am disinfecting more than ever, reminding my kids to wash their hands all day long and making sure they get enough sleep and vitamin C. I recently added a new tool to my healthy arsenal, essential oils.

If you follow my Instagram stories, you know I recently got an essential oil diffuser and I am obsessed! I am constantly trying new combinations and getting into the whole EO world. (I know, I am very late to this party but whatever) So you can imagine my surprise and excitement when Simply Earth reached out to me for a partnership. Simply Earth offers a monthly subscription box full of 100% pure, responsibly farmed oils and a number of recipes showing different ways to use them. How cool is that? They also sell individual oils and accessories.

Whether you are an EO newbie (like me) or an essential oil pro, you will LOVE this box. Up until this point, I had only been using different oils in my diffuser since I really wasn’t sure what else to do with them. But with the Simply Earth box, you get 4 bottles of essential oils along with 6 recipes on ways to use them. (it even includes the bottles, carrier oils and more to make the items!)

Trying to keep these cuties healthy!!

The theme for this month’s box was “Wellness” which is really appropriate during this sickie season. The oils in this box were Defender, Oregano, Lemon and Ravensara. It was a good mix of scents and I thought it was very cool how the recipes it came with used them in so many different combinations. The first thing I made was the shower steam thing. I have a ton of similar items pinned on my Pinterest board, so I was excited to finally make them! I had no idea how easy it would be. I have made a few more batches of this since, using different essential oil combinations since my family loves them.

How cute are my little shower disks?

I also made the muscle oil and the inhaler, which is perfect for my kids who have both been battling stuffy noses. I also really like how the box has a QR code that links to different ways to use the oils, beyond the recipe cards that come in the box. Since I am still fairly new, this helps me get the most out of my oils and discover new ways to incorporate them into my daily routine. I highly recommend this box if you are thinking about getting into essential oils. In addition to the subscription box, they also sell individual oils, diffusers and more.

If you want to give Simply Earth a try, you can use my code MOMMAGICFREE to get a $40 gift card emailed to you after subscribing to your first box (the subscription can be canceled anytime).

Wow, this is awesome! I’m a big fan of essential oils but just like you, I’ve been keeping it to just my diffuser. This is a great way to expand on that! Thanks for the code, I am going to check it now!

I love diffusing essential oils in my home. I haven’t ventured out much further than that, only a couple things here and there. This is a great post to help me expand that!

I haven’t heard of this company. Thanks! We swear by Panaway here for muscle pain. (it really helps with tension headaches) and of course thieves. I will have to check out this company too.

Essential oils are my favorite! I did break my diffuser though, so I’ll have to get a new one soon! Definitely want to try making these shower disks though in the meantime.

These are great tips and very timely information, since we’re in the grip of a particularly nasty flu epidemic. I’m up for trying anything to avoid getting sick!
