I hope you guys had a fantastic January! How are those resolutions going? So far, my #MoreMEin2016 initiative has been awesome. I read 2 books this month, took more time for myself and even enjoyed a date night with my amazing husband! Now let’s get to our family favorites.

The Wet Brushand L’Oreal Sleek It Heat Spray
This is kind of random but I am OBSESSED with an $8 brush this month. A friend of mine recommended it since my daughter hated when I brushed her hair. So I buy the brush and it works. (*cue angels singing here*) My daughter was even shocked and now she always asks for her “No hurt brush.” It didn’t take long for ME to try it and I could immediately tell a difference. This brush kind of strokes the tangles out of your hair instead of yanking them out. After being yelled at by my toddler every time I borrowed her brush, I finally just bought my own. Get this brush. It is amazing. Bonus hair-related item: I needed a new heat protectant spray and this one was on sale so I got it. I don’t know if it really protects my hair better than the last kind I used but I will say this smells SO FREAKING GOOD. I use it everyday since I just love the scent.Β Consider yourself warned though, the ingredients in this do make the bathroom floor slick and slippery even days later… but even though this spray nearly killed me, I still love it.

Garage Shelving
A blanket last month and shelving this month.. please believe me when I tell you that my husband is much more fun than his family favorites make him out to be. But seriously, my husband did a huge garage clean out and reorganization this month (I can actually pull my car into the garage! say what!) and he is obsessed with these shelves. He lined an entire side with them and they hold so much stuff.

This makes my hubby happy. |
Hudson:
Qixels
Hudson got these for Christmas and he plays with it all the time! You can create little figures using beads and different templates. You just spray your design with water and 20 minutes later you have a new toy! It reminds me of those beads that use the heat to stick together, but this does it with only water. Hudson has created dinosaurs, planes and ninjas. I have to admit, I love playing with these as well. Him and I can sit at the table for a good hour creating different Qixels!

Mila:
Play-Doh
A few months back we found some old Play-Doh in a craft bin and Mila was so excited! She screamed, “WE HAVE PLAY-DOH??? I PLAY WITH THIS AT MY SCHOOL!” So Santa was kind enough to being her some fresh play-doh of her very own along with a Princess play-doh set. She has been playing with it almost every morning. She plays with it forever.. rolling it out, cutting it up and creating little princess skirts. The kit she got is a lot of fun and has all sorts of different ways to play with the doh. I love watching what she comes up with!

What is your family loving this month? Any holiday gifts a big hit?
**This post has affilate links from Amazon, they have NOTHING to do with what makes this list. None of these items Β are sponsored or were given to me for free.
Love your favorites last month. Play doh is a huge hit (and mess) in our house for sure. The garage looks awesome, and I think I need to look into that brush π
Hahaha-I love the shelving! There is nothing better than an organized garage. So I totally understand your husband's favorite. Lol!
You two are just such a smashing couple!! That heat protect spray sounds wonderful…I have a hard time finding one that doesn't make my hair limp..I shall have to try it!

Yeah, shelving! I love how it can organize a garage. Ours is needing serious help! Sammie used to love play dough, so cute!
Qixels look like so much fun. I've never seen that toy before and I bet my son would love it! Your daughter is adorable btw π
Playdoh..they love it but I hate it!!! π
garage shelving is fabulous! totally necessary!
My girls are OBSESSED with playdoh. I really love the Wet Brush!
My daughter would definitely love that Ariel play-doh doll! We're loving a game we just found called WhatchamaDRAWit! It's so fun and even our 5 year old daughter can play! =)
I always love this series, but I could hug you for this one. Brushing my daughter's hair is SO unpleasant. I've seen the wet brush but I've stopped myself from buying it because I thought it might just be an empty promise. Now, I'm buying it for sure. I also want Donny's shelves for our basement. Ha! And Hudson's and Mila's toys look SO cool…. Off to amazon I go π
I've been eyeing that brush at Target, but wasn't sure how it would work. Now, I've got to get me one! Those shelves look great. My husband would totally appreciate them π
Woah woah woah! How the heck do you have time to read two books in one month while managing a family, career, and blog? I'm lucky to spit out two books a year. You're my hero. Cheers!
We LOVE the wet brush, have 3 of them!
I need to try this brush. I'm having some serious winter hair problems.
Your husband's part made me laugh! My husband gets excited about the strangest things too. He changed all our light bulbs recently and got mad that I didn't notice…:)
Your kids are too cute!!
I haven't seen that princess play-doh set before, now I must find it! Your shelving looks great. π
Awwwww that Disney playdoh!!! I need to get that for my daughter!!!
