Time to review my February book picks! I LOVED these books so much that I was done with them by mid-month. If you are new, here’s the scoop on my reading challenge!

#Girlboss by Sophia Amaroso:
Summary from Amazon:
In the New York Times bestseller that the Washington Post called “Lean In for misfits,” Sophia Amoruso shares how she went from dumpster diving to founding one of the fastest-growing retailers in the world.
My Thoughts:
I really liked this book, it took me just a few days to read. She is blunt, honest and really gets to the point… which is totally my style. As a working woman and manager, I could relate to many of her stories and tips for getting ahead. I wish I would have read a book like this when I was in my early twenties, since at this point in my life and career… I already knew most of the things she talks about. My favorite line in the entire book was this gem:
“If I, and this book, have anything to prove, it’s that when you believe in yourself, other people will believe in you, too.”
I 100% believe that confidence is KEY in life. Confidence in yourself will help you land your dream job, dream man… dream anything, really. If you think you can do it, others will think so, too. I have been trying to share this simple fact with friends for years, but I was never able to convey it as perfectly as that one sentence. Love it. Read this book people.
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell:
Summary from Amazon:
Set over the course of one school year in 1986, this is the story of two
star-crossed misfits-smart enough to know that first love almost never
lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try. When Eleanor meets Park,
you’ll remember your own first love-and just how hard it pulled you
under.
My Thoughts:
This book started off a little shaky for me, since it began with a lot of cursing. For some reason it just annoyed me. But once the relationship between Eleanor and Park began, it got good. Really good. I found myself smiling many times during the story, since the author does such an awesome job explaining the emotion and excitement the characters feel as they are falling for each other. A lot of people say they didn’t like the ending, but I thought it was perfect for the story. I really enjoyed this one! I will definitely be adding more Rainbow Rowell books to my reading wish list.
Tomorrow I will post my March books picks! (I can only hope I love them as much as I loved these two!) You can check out my Janauary book review if you would like… and be sure to friend me on GoodReads. Have you read any good books lately? I would love for you to tell me in the comments section since I need lots of book recommendations!

I almost read Girl Boss but, this is what I thought from what I read in reviews. I need to get some new books to sit outside in spring for spring reading. Can't wait to see your spring list.
My books for March arent too 'spring-y" but I was in the mood for something different so I switched it up a bit ๐
Ooh your reviews REALLY make me want to pick up these two! I am sharing this blog with my bestie, who is always looking for good reads… the Girl Boss book would be perfect for her to boost her confidence. ๐
I loved them both… they were quick and fun reads!
I really like the idea of your reading challenge and think I should try something similar for myself. I am intrigued by your review of Girl Boss so I'm going to check that one out. Profanity is definitely a turn-off for me so I'll just skip the other recommendation.
It is only in the beginning in the book and I didnt really notice it past the first chapter… but yeah it almost made me stop reading. (so glad I didnt though!)
I may have to pick up the #GirlBoss book… although the overuse of the "girl boss" term sort of irks me…but in her case, it's 100% true!
It is a quick read, and I totally agree with the whole girlboss thing..
I love the quote you picked from #Girlboss. Great advice! It sounds like a quick motivational read.
I love it! Best quote ever! It is a quick read, I really enjoyed it.
I've been wanting to read #Girlboss, but I've heard some not too good things about it. This makes me want to pick it up.
I dont think it was worth all the hype.. but it was a really fun and fast read. I enjoyed it. ๐
Thanks for these reviews! I want to check out girlboss now!
Its was a great little book! ๐
Ohhh man. I really, really want to get Girlboss ASAP! Thanks for sharing your review:)
Yes. I feel like you would totally love this book. ๐
Great reviews! I haven't heard of girl bosses but I will definitely check it out. Elenor and Park is one of my favorite books ever. Rainbow Rowell is my soul sister. She has a way of intimately connecting you to each an every one of her characters in a way I haven't come across before. I wrote a review on Landline by her. It's totally different from this one but I loved it ๐ I've read everything she's written so far!
I have to pick up a copy of GirlBoss now. The line you quoted has me wanting to read more! Thank you! <3
Sounds like interesting reads. Seen them both at my library. Need some good reads, check out my Tuesday Talk party this week as I linked many books from other bloggers and their reviews. You may find something there that interest you. From Stephanie's linkup today.
I've been meaning to pick Girlboss up, I've heard so much about it. I really liked Eleanor and Park (for the most part). It was my first audiobook during a long drive and since then I've read several of Rainbow Rowell's books – they're great!
