1. St. Ives Apricot scrub: This is an oldie but a goodie, especially in the warmer months. I don’t use Retin-A during the summer, but I do continue exfoliating. It is so hot here, and all the sunscreen, sand and sweat leaves my skin really dull. I have been using this scrub since high school and I still think it is the best.
2. E.L.F. Shimmer Palette: This little shimmer palette is amazing! (and it was only 3 bucks!!) They are cream highlighters and I mostly use them to highlight my cheekbones and dab a bit in the corner of my eyes to help brighten me up when I am really tired. (which is ALL the time!)
3. Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick in Anarchy: So I got this in a sample size with a Sephora order and I am obsessed. It feels like a lip balm, but with full color payout. This is supposed to be the ‘sheer’ version of the lipstick… so I can only imagine how bright the regular one is! This fushia is not for the timid, but it is so flattering and I feel like it just wakes up my face. (again.. the tired thing)

4. Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum: My hairdresser told me I need to start using an argan oil on my hair, and I basically do whatever she tells me, so I bought this one. It smells awesome and it really does make my hair look more smooth and shiny. We swim so much over the summer I try to take extra care of my hair, since it gets damaged easily.
5. Hard Candy Glow All The Way: I got this at Walmart for 8 bucks and it is my new favorite bronzer. I try not to get too much sun, but pasty legs and shorts just don’t work for me. Just a dollop of this cream mixed with my regular lotion and I instantly have the illusion of a golden tan. Just be sure to let it dry and you are good to go.
6. E.L.F Lip Exfoliator: This stuff is perfect for making sure my lips are super smooth all summer long. (which is good since I am wearing hot pink lipstick every day!) You just rub the ‘lipstick’ over your lips in a circular motion, then wipe off anything left behind. It takes 30 seconds, and there is no mess. Love.
7. Garnier BB Cream Daily Shine Control: This BB cream rocks. It controls shine all day and has an SPF 20. It is really lightweight but offers some pretty good coverage. I have been using this instead of my usual foundation to wear every day. I originally bought the light/medium but it was REALLY light. So I bought the medium/deep and it’s perfect.

I use the Josie Maran Argan oil for the face but I should use the hair one too. I think I'm going to have to go pick up one of those ELF highlighters. Highlighter makes such a difference on tired eyes for sure.
Yes, it is awesome.. I like it because it is a cream, so no glitter pieces falling everywhere… it is just a nice shimmer.
I love your sheer lipstick recommendation, Lauren! I love bright colors but hate how lipstick fades terribly (and I'm way to lazy to keep applying it all day). Great, affordable recommendations. And I feel your pain with this heat and humidity!
I really like it since it is bright but it doesnt make my teeth look yellowish.. I have that issue with other pink tones sometimes. 🙂
I've heard a lot about the Garnier BB cream but have been on the fence about trying it out. Since I trust your opinion, I'm going to have to now;)
It is REALLY good, my new favorite. And it does stay matte… which is a miracle considering the weather. (I know you would understand this!!) I think it actually covers better than my foundation!

Me too.. I used to use Boscia all the time, but it was $35 and I would go through it so fast since I have to wear sunscreen everyday here in South Florida. This is the best drugstore one I have found.

I have never used a bb cream– I may have to invest in one for this summer.
I like it since it is a sunscreen with a bit of coverage. It evens out my skin without looking like I'm wearing a ton of makeup.
I've used the Apricot scrub for as long as I can remember and I still love it. The Urban Decay lipstick is life changing! I will have to check out the rest of your items.

I love beauty products. I'm all about the fast routine with makeup however.
Me too! I dont have a lot of time.. but I always need a least a little makeup (thanks hereditary under eye circles.. ha!)
I loathe lipstick but I love lipgloss. I may have to try the Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick if it feels like a lipgloss but the colors of lipstick.
Its more like a chap stick consistency. It isnt too shiny or glossy feeling. 🙂 Maybe Sephora or Ulta could give you a sample first?

This is a great summer must have list! For me, it is my makeup kit (including my bloke body lip balm, maskcara HAC pac, and Mac Lipstick in Twig!). I love having it on hand for summer! PS, have you tried Josie Marin Crayon Sticks? I LOVE THEM!
I will have to check out that color.. it looks similar to my favorite NYX lip butter (pops) and my Colourpop lippie in Lumiere!! A perfect pinky-nude is hard to find!
