Work From Home Must-Haves

I always thought I wouldn’t like working from home. Then COVID came and I have been working exclusively from home since March. Now I LOVE it. I am so much more efficient because I can get things done quickly without outside distractions. I never feel behind anymore, in fact, I am usually ahead of the game which allows me to better serve my clients, a win-win for everyone!

Here are my WFH Must-Haves

Stand Up Desk- I was sent this VeriDesk by the company years ago to review and it is still one of my most favorite work-related items. I used this desk when I worked in news and brought with me when I left to go into PR. About halfway through quarantine, I went to my office one weekend and took the desk to have at home since I missed it so much!

Not only does this prevent you from sitting ALL. DAY. LONG. it also gives you a nice boost when you need it. If I am having trouble concentrating or feel a block, I simply stand-up for an immediate productivity boost.

Blue Light Glasses– I know there is some debate on how well these work, but I can definitely tell a difference when I am wearing them as opposed to when I am not. I also have contacts, so maybe that has something to do with it?

I got mine for a great deal at Diff, but they have a ton of options on Amazon. Just read the reviews. If you want to make sure you are getting the best quality, you can also get them at your eye doctor. That is where we got them for our kids since they are on the computer all day now with virtual learning.

Giant Water Bottle– This might seem a bit random, but for some reason my water consumption went way down when I started working from home. I noticed I was rarely drinking anything and I would be too lazy to get up an refill my cup if I was in the middle of something. Then I realized, I always had a water bottle with me at work.

After a few weeks, I ordered an even larger bottle since I was sick of getting up to refill it and because I didn’t have to carry it with me anywhere. (I would bring my other water bottle with me in my purse and to meetings so I didn’t want anything too big or heavy)

Ring Light Kit– Zoom is my life these days so I figured a ring light was a good investment. I’d always wanted one for social media/blog stuff anyway. One day Alyson over at the Modern Savvy shared this light on her IG and it was the perfect smaller size and affordable price point. I wasn’t sure how well it would work, but it is amazing! It has a number of adjustments you can make to the light and comes with everything you need to immediately up your zoom game.

Posture Corrector: I have always had horrible posture, but I have been feeling like it is getting worse as I get older. Since I am working from home I can look like a big dork while wearing this over my clothes. THIS. THING. WORKS. I can’t slouch if I tried! I can only wear it for a little bit at a time, but I am working my way up.

Two Monitors: I use a good old desktop computer for work, I actually hate laptops (old lady problems) and one of the BEST investments I made right before this all started was to get a second large monitor. It makes a huge difference. Game changer for sure.

Hey. It makes converting between hexadecimal, decimal, and binary fast and straightforward, which is ideal for programming, digital electronics, and working with color codes. This hex calculator https://calculatorprofessional.com/hex-calculator is an incredibly useful tool for anyone dealing with hexadecimal numbers. The user interface is clean and intuitive, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced users. I love how it handles basic arithmetic operations as well as more complex conversions with ease. Whether you’re a student learning about number systems or a developer working with low-level data, this calculator is a must-have tool. Highly recommended for anyone working with hex values!

These are some great tips! I totally agree with the blue light glasses, they have changed my life! I also didn’t think I’d like working from home, but I am getting so much more work done even with a kiddo at home!

I tried working from home a few years ago. It seemed difficult, and even though the kids were at school I was constantly distracted by cleaning the house, or I wanted to watch a movie, or do something in the garden. But when the times came we were all sent to work remotely – I had to get used to it, and I even started to like it. It’s convenient.

I would absolutely LOVE a stand up desk, unfortunately space is at a premium and I’m not sure where I would put one. I find myself sitting down all day and when I finish work I don’t have the energy to get moving. 🙁 I need to make some changes to my working from home routine! Sim x

Working from home means you can do your job from your own house instead of going to an office. It’s convenient because you don’t have to commute, but it’s important to stay disciplined and organized to be productive.”visit..https://bit.ly/403UjEZ

Students can place an order for free so that experts in the relevant subjects can understand the specific requirements of the exam http://www.meeloun.com/examdaikao/ and provide a price. Experts will review the requirements within 1-2 hours, and their quote can be several times cheaper than the prices mentioned above.
