How To Spend More Time Having Fun and Less Time Cleaning with Dyson

We have been soaking in every moment of summer. When my kids are in camp the mornings take on a chill vibe that I just love. They get to stay up later so I feel like I get more quality time with them.

The one thing that cramps my style (and not only during the summer) is CLEANING. I hate cleaning my house and since most of my home is tile, the floors are the devil to me. I will take laundry, dishes and even cleaning toilets over cleaning the floors. The issue is it takes such a long time. I have one vacuum for hard floors and a different vacuum that works best for carpeted areas. Since we have both I feel like whenever I do floors it takes forever. Until now.

About a month ago, a sweet soul from Dyson contacted me to see if I wanted to spend less time cleaning. Ummm… heck yes. So she sent me a Dyson vacuum. YES… the Dyson vacuum I have read about and dreamed about and debating buying too many times to count. Why I am obsessed with my Dyson Cyclone V10

1. Cordless: Let’s start with the obvious, shall we? The fact that this vacuum is cordless is EXTREMELY convenient. I actually vacuum more now since it takes me no effort to just grab the Dyson and do a quick clean up. My floors look better than they ever have and even though I am cleaning them more, it is taking me way less time to do it so I feel like I’m not cleaning at all!
2. Powerful Motor: I have had cordless vacuums in the past and if we are being honest here, I swore I would never buy one again. However, even though this is cordless, it is seriously POWERFUL. In fact, the Dyson sucks up more dog hair and dust than my regular vacuum! The V10 has the most powerful suction of any cordless vacuum out there. I am actually shocked to see how much dust this thing can pick up from areas that I thought was pretty clean to begin with.
3. Versatile: The Cyclone V10 has a number of convenient attachments that makes this super versatile. You can use it as a hand-held with all the attachments, or add the bar to do floors, ceiling corners, fans, etc. I regularly vacuum all the beds in my house and couch now, which makes me feel like I am winning at life. (BTW, you would have been horrified to see the dust that came off my couch the first time I did it, and I have cleaned it in the past with my old vacuum!) I can get into oddly-shaped areas and corners with ease. Also, it has an attachment for hard floors and a different one for carpets and both work amazing.
4. Easy Cleanup: The vacuum has large bagless bin to collect the dust and it is very easy to clean. (takes seconds, literally) Changing vacuum bags sucks, so the fact that I don’t even have to bother with them is a win-win in my book.

The only thing that is slightly strange is that you have to hold the button down the entire time, there is no on/off switch. I am guessing that is to save the battery, but since it is located where you hold the vacuum anyway, it is very easy and natural to hold it down.

If you can’t tell by now, I am in love with this vacuum. There are some things in life that are just worth the extra money, and let me tell you, a Dyson vacuum is one of those things. I feel like my house is cleaner and I am no longer stressed out by my tile floors. Now, if you don’t mind, I am going to go back to having fun while also enjoying my very clean floors. 😉
