September Family Favorites

Another month has flown by! A big thing happened during September… I turned 37! I spent Labor Day weekend on a lake with family & friends, enjoyed a fantastic birthday date night with my sweet husband and enjoyed a few relaxing weekends. PSL count: 3 so far. 😉 So here is what my family is currently loving!

Lauren:
Snail Serum
I bought this serum after seeing it in a magazine article. I have had it for about 6 months and let me tell you, this stuff is AMAZING. I have pretty noticeable wrinkles on my forehead, especially my 11’s. (the two lines between my eyebrows) I have cancelled a number of appointments to get Botox since I am a chicken. I have tried dozens of creams to try and make these lines less noticeable. I even bought ‘Frownies’ these things you stick on your face to smooth out lines while you sleep… I looked like a crazy person with bits of paper bag stuck to my head! This is the ONLY thing I have ever used that made a noticeable difference, especially with my 11’s. I stopped using it a bit over the summer and immediately noticed the lines looked deeper. I didn’t think my $10 snail serum was the reason, but it totally was. I started using it again and BOOM… my wrinkles looked smoothed out. They are not GONE, but they’re definitely not as deep. I put this on every single night after my moisturizer. Sometimes I wear it under my sunscreen during the day. I know this sounds crazy, but this slimy stuff works.

Donnie:
GIPHY Keys
I know the latest iPhone update has GIF’s to include in texts, but my hubby and I have been using an app to do this forever. It’s called GIPHY keys and it is the best app ever. Once you download it, you just add it to your keyboards and you are able to pull up hilarious animated GIF’s to any text. It has a search function, so you can find literally anything you need super fast. Our friends are always asking us how we find such funny videos to text. So there you go… we’ve shared our secret. Donnie sends me the most random ones during the day while I am at work and they always make me laugh!

Hudson:
Lego-esque Minifigures
Hudson has been really big into ‘trading’ minifigures with his friends. They all trade back and forth and figure out what they each think is a “fair trade” and so on. I always buy him random minifigure sets from Amazon, but they are not by Lego. They are “similar to Lego Minifigures.” He has the most rare and hard to find minifigures, since they aren’t really by Lego. He knows this and is honest with all his friends. “My mom says she only paid $2 for this KyloRen.” He is rocking the world of Lego trades and I am going to buy a bunch of sets to give to his friends for their birthdays.

Mila:
Dress Up Clothes
A good friend of mine gave me two huge bags of dress up clothes that her daughters grew out of. Let me tell you, this was the jackpot of all jackpots for my sweet girl. She is CONSTANTLY asking me for more princess dresses. She has really been wanting a Rapunzel and Princess Tiana dress, but they are expensive!! Well, both dresses were in there so we totally lucked out! She also gave us a ton of other princess dresses and some super fun dance recital outfits. Mila now has a fully stocked dress-up trunk and she takes advantage of it every day!
