4 Delicious Detox Waters

This post is sponsored by Mavea & contains affiliate links, opinions are 100% my own

4 delicious detox waters

I love water. It is all I really drink, other than LaCroix (& wine). Occasionally I get sick of plain water, which is when I turn to my favorite fruit-infused detox waters. These recipes give your water an extra boost of nutrients and anti-oxidants, and who doesn’t love that?

When you are making these waters, it is important to use good, clean water… free from any chemicals and chlorine. Water is SO important to our bodies, but if you are guzzling chemicals, it may do more harm than good! (also, I am big into probiotics and I read that the chemicals in regular tap water can actually prevent them from working and harm the microbiomes in your gut!) We don’t have a water purifier on our sink, so I was thrilled when Mavea reached out to me since I was already looking for water filtration systems.

They sent me their complete set: a pitcher, carafe and portable water bottle. All of the products us the same filter, which is awesome. The MicroDisc with advanced CCC™ (Compressed Catalytic Carbon) Filter Technology targets contaminants that affect taste in tap water the most while leaving in minerals.

They are all super easy to set up. You just rinse out the disc, pop it in, fill the water dispenser and pour it out once or twice and you are ready for fresh water! (No soaking!) I also love how the carafe and pitcher have a filter life display, that tells me when I need to change out the filter. The MicroDisc lasts for up to 8 weeks and provides more gallons of water per filter than the leading brand, according to Mavea’s website.

The pitcher has an amazing pour through lid, a little hole that opens up when you are filling it, and closes once you are done. You never have to take off the lid! The carafe is the perfect size. I bring it outside while the kids are in the pool so they can grab water when they need it. I bring the water bottle with me everywhere and it is so nice to know I can fill up anywhere and the water will be filtered as I drink it.

4 Delicious Detox Waters:

Sliced Apples & Cinnamon Sticks: This drink is supposed to help speed up your metabolism. Who knows if that is true, but it tastes really good, so I’ll give it a shot.

Lemon Mint Water: This is a great source of Vitamin C and electrolytes. It also helps decrease bloating.

Cucumber Blackberry Water: This was inspired by one of my favorite LaCroix sparkling waters. Cucumbers are also great to help you beat bloating and there are tons of antioxidants in blackberries.

Strawberry Lime: This is so refreshing. Strawberries are full of vitamins and they are said to help flush toxins from your body.

Switch up your plain water and try some of these awesome fruit infusions! If you don’t have a good tap water then you are in LUCK since Mavea gave me another entire set of it’s water filtration systems to give away to one of readers! (includes a pitcher, carafe and water bottle, a $70+ value!)

I really like to put oranges in my water. I need to start doing this more because my little one has been having issues drinking anything BUT water so like you, I am sure he is just tired of plain water and is ready for something different.

Great article Lauren and thanks for sharing! I have tried apple and cinnamon and really like it. Also I usually drink lemon water but am going to try the mint as well. The other sound delish too! Can’t wait to add a little variety to my lemon wate routine. 🙂

Adding the mint makes it SO good, but start with just a little bit, it can get VERY minty quickly! ha!
