Frozen Yogurt Bites

frozen yogurt bites

We are almost in summer mode here and the weather is definitely heating up! These frozen yogurt snacks are perfect for this time of the year! My kids love cooling off with a sweet frozen treat, but since I have been trying to eat more healthfully… I find myself looking for better options for my children as well.

After reading a few books about sugar, I decided to switch my kids from skim milk back to whole milk. When I saw that Annie’s was coming out with Whole Milk Yogurt packs I was SO happy! My kids love yogurt, but finding them healthy options can be a little difficult. This yogurt is sweetened with real fruit and has NO artificial flavors, synthetic colors or preservatives. It is made withΒ organic whole milk from cows not treated with antibiotics, synthetic hormones or exposure to persistent pesticides. The best part… my kids love it! I put them in their lunch all the time.

Annie's Organic Whole Milk Yogurt

These frozen yogurt bites are so easy to make and my kids like to customize them with their own toppings. I recently got these silicone baking cups and I have been getting a ton of use out of them. They work great for frozen snacks like this since they pop right out easily. Just grab some Annie’s Whole Milk Yogurt, a bunch of toppings and you are ready to go! I have my son make his own and Mila just needs a little bit of help.

I recently made a layered version and they were a hit! Just spoon some yogurt in each baking cup (you don’t need to spray anything on these) and then I sprinkled some mini chocolate chips on top. Put it in the freezer for 10 minutes, just to set. I topped it with some coconut milk and berries. Leave in the freezer for a few hours and you are good to go! The frozen yogurt bites pop right out of the silicone baking cups.

Annie's Organic Whole Milk Yogurt

Right now, this yogurt is on sale at Publix, get 2 packages for only $5 (through May 27)! Also be sure to check out Annie’s Organic website for tons of awesome recipe ideas! I am giving away $15 in PayPal cash so you can go out and give this yogurt a try for yourself!Β  $15 PaylPal Giveaway

Yummmm. I love yogurt with berries and sometimes granola in the mornings, but I had never thought to pre-make it as a frozen item. I haven’t tried Annie’s Whole Milk yogurt but I’ll have to give it a try. I usually use, and love, Siggi’s for similar reasons, it is much lower in sugar and much higher in protein. Have you tried any of theirs?
