April was a fun & busy month… if you don’t include my husband’s emergency eye surgery that was thrown in the mix at the very end there. We saw Pearl Jam in concert and have been enjoying some amazing weather outside with the kids. Here is what we are currently loving! (*this post contains affiliate links where available)
Donnie:
Wireless Wi-Fi Router
I am constantly complaining about our slow home computer and my sweet husband is constantly trying to fix the problem, even though I think the only solution is a new computer. He has upgraded our internet speeds, bought bluetooth adapters, cleaned out the hard drives and more. He was checking our internet speeds and was not happy with what he saw so after a number of phone calls a tech guy came to our house. After investigating, the guy said we probably needed a new router since ours was pretty old. So after lots of research, my husband ordered what looks like the mac daddy of routers. I don’t really know what makes it special but my husband loves it oh-so-much. It has definitely made a difference in our computer speeds, too! (but I still need a new computer)
Lauren:
Sunglasses
I am obsessed with sunglasses lately for some reason. My Ray-Ban aviators are my go-to shades, but during the summer I love to have a few cheapie options. We love going to the beach and water parks with the kids and my glasses often pay the price of all that fun. (either they get scratched, broken or lost!) I got a great deal at Forever 21 recently and walked out with 3 pairs of sunglasses for only 8 bucks! I also got a fun pair from Quay that I love. I am currently obsessed with these Ray-Bans after trying them on last week… but I am trying out a ‘no spend’ month right now, so they will have to wait.
Hudson:
Nexo Knights
My son is loving these new Lego figures. He really likes the small sets that come with a mini figure and some accessories. For Lego’s, they are a fun set considering the price. (around $8-$10 depending on where you buy it) I also got him a Nexo Knights book and it is his new favorite. We read it together almost every night and he brings it to school to read with friends. I have a few more on my Amazon wish list to buy him next month. (no spend.. remember?)
Mila:
Sidewalk Chalk
My daughter has been obsessed with sidewalk chalk lately. It is such a simple activity, but we always have so much fun when we bring out the box of chalk! She is really into trying to draw letters right now, so she asks me to write her name and then she tries to write it herself, or trace over mine. She also likes to create snowflakes. Hudson loves to draw, so he always ends up joining us. We have so much creating our chalky works of art! (& who doesn’t love a little chalk butt?? ha!)

I love your sunglasses so much!! I always get super cheap ones because I’m always breaking or losing mine! And I have tried every year to get the kiddos into sidewalk chalk, but they usually don’t care. Maybe this year will be my year! Ha!
I can relate to the router, computer mess. I’ve been there. We upgraded our router a while back. I love the sunglasses. I finally broke down and got RX sunglasses. I remember when Sammie’s favorite thing was sidewalk chalk. Crazy how quick April flew by but, we’ve had a lot of things happening last month.
