February Family Favorites

This family favorites post is a tad bit late, but a bunch of us came down with the flu… so I am sticking with the whole “better late than never” mentality here. Anyway, February was such a fun month! My sweet girl turned three and we celebrated with a small party at a local gymnastics place. She had such a awesome time and it was so much fun to watch all the kids let loose!

Lauren:
Pac-Man Connect and Play
Santa brought this for Hudson but we all have so much fun playing it! We actually brought it to my mother-in-law’s house on Christmas Day and everyone was obsessed. You just plug this little controller into your TV and you can play 12 classic arcade games. Coolest toy ever. Hudson and I have been playing it lately on Friday nights and it is such a fun way to hang out with my sweet little guy. Mila can even play some of the games! This is kind of a random pick, but it was the only thing I could think of since it is so much fun!

Donnie:
Clash of Clans
My son has been into this game for a little while now. My brother-in-law is the Clash of Clans expert and has a slight obsession with the game… so my husband created an account so he could be involved in all the ‘wars’ with the rest of the family. Slowly but surely I am catching him checking his ‘world’ more and more on his phone. There was one night when they planned a big battle and Donnie streamed it using Apple TV with my brother-in-law and nephews on speaker. HA!

Hudson:
Splat Balls
These have been a huge hit in my household! (and for all the kids that came to Mila’s party, since each child got one in their goody bag!) So we saw these at a mall kiosk and they were SO COOL! You throw the water filled ball against a surface (window, wall, etc) and it SPLATS out to be totally flat and then rolls down the wall. They were charging $5 per ball, which was a bit steep for something I knew had the potential to break in 30 seconds. We were willing to overpay a little (I can appreciate a guy with a little hustle) but he refused to budge on the price even when we told him we would buy 12. So I went to Amazon and found the exact same variety pack, showing the exact splat balls he had. The price? 13 bucks for a dozen!! I bought two and the rest is history. These are so much fun and I will be buying more to stuff in all the kids Easter baskets. We only had a few break so far, but there is only water inside and it wipes right up.

Mila:
Clip-on Earrings
She got a pair of clip on earrings in a princess dress up trunk from her sweet Aunt for her birthday. The trunk was FULL of accessories and outfits, but those earrings were EVERYTHING to Mila. She wore them every day. When my sister-in-law heard how obsessed Mila was with the earrings, she sent her 4 more pairs! How awesome is that? Mila was SO excited! Now she loves clipping on some sparkly earrings every time she dresses up and during the weekends! 🙂
