If there is one thing that can immediately put my kids in a great mood, it’s bubbles. Blowing bubbles, bubble baths… you get the idea. During the summer, we go through so many bubbles that I usually end up making our own. I have two recipes that work the best… I tried a LOT of recipes over the years and these are by far the best. The very best recipe is from Happy Hooligans blog. However, this recipe uses glycerin, which isn’t something I usually have on hand. (so some pre-planning is needed, at least for me) Another good recipe that works really well is actually from the Karo corn syrup website. It is only 3 ingredients which makes it easy to make quickly. For both recipes I try to use Joy or Ajax dishwasher liquid. (Joy is the best)
Homemade bubbles can be fun, but for serious bubble action you need to check out the Gazillion Bubble Show. It is a Broadway show that has been performing for more than 10 years. It is now touring all around the world. I just found out it is coming to South Florida at the end of June!

Here is a quick explainer from their website:
The Gazillion Bubble Show will amaze your whole family with mind blowing bubble magic. Step into
an interactive bubble world and be dazzled by spellbinding lasers, spectacular
lighting effects, and jaw-dropping masterpieces of bubble artistry. It will
make you smile, laugh, and feel like a kid all over again!
This show looks so cool and I know my kids will love it! There is a lot of audience involvement and kids even get randomly pulled onstage from the audience! They also do something called a “Me in a Bubble” photo, which is a really cool photo booth area they set up before and after the show. You can get a picture of yourself in a real giant bubble… and up to 4 people can fit inside for the picture!

The Gazillion Bubble Show is coming to the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, June 24th-26th. You can buy tickets through Ticketmaster or Parker Playhouse. (you can also call 954-462-0222) Tickets start at about $33. How fun does this look? Be sure to check out the Gazillion Bubble Show’s website and Facebook page! Also, if you have a go-to homemade bubble recipe I would love to hear it!
