“As a Leap Frog Mom Ambassador, I receive products,

After a long day at work, there are few things better than taking some time to just play with my kids. They are so creative and come up with the most crazy games, I love getting to escape into their world.

Recently, our playroom has turned into a “city” complete with a house, restaurant, store, daycare, doctor’s office and more. It is my kids favorite game to play right now, thanks to the help of some wonderfully open-ended toys. The toys have a basic purpose, but the ways my kids choose to use them is completely up to their imaginations. Pretend play is such an important factor in a child’s development. Studies have shown it builds self-esteem, helps kids with problem solving skills and much more.

As a Leap Frog Mom Ambassador, Leap Frog sends me a box full of goodies every month. This month, it included the Number Lovin’ Oven & Scout’s Build and Discover Tool Kit. Both have played a major role in our “city” and are getting a LOT of play.

The tool kit was a HUGE hit. This fairly simple toy has provided hours
of enjoyment for my kids. My daughter brings it everywhere and I am
surprised how much my 7 year-old also plays with it… since this is
normally something I would think is a bit too ‘young’ for him. Nope.

This girl is OBSESSED with this tool kit

The point of this toy is to build Scout a doghouse. You can take the whole thing apart and put it together again and again. It comes with 5 tools, and the color of the tool matches the job it is ment to do. There is also a Scout button, and you can press it to get directions and tips. (Mila LOVES doing this, since following directions makes her oh-so-happy)

Doing some careful measuring using the ruler (yes, in the car… she brings it everywhere)

Mila brings this to my son’s karate class and now the younger siblings who are also there are expecting it! We didn’t bring it last weekend… BIG mistake. Big. Huge. (yes, totally just threw out a   Pretty Woman reference into a post about pretend play) Anyway, from now on we will be bringing Scout’s Tool Kit to karate.

Playing with her friend at my son’s Karate class

If we didn’t have the Leap Frog Number Lovin’ Oven… our restaurant would most certainly be forced to shut down. My kids can whip up anything I order, thanks to this adorable oven. It also came with a lot of its own food. The oven makes cool sounds, like the ‘sizzle’ of the pan and ‘ding’ of the oven. On top of the realistic sounds, it also has fun songs and number learning activities.

If you are getting your holiday list together, I definitely think both of these toys would make ANY kid very happy! (& both retail for under $25! Score!) Be sure to check out Leap Frog on Facebook and Twitter for great holiday deals and offers!

We don't have many Leap Frog items, mainly because we are still trying to get through all of the toys Grammy and Grandpa got the girls. There are TOO MANY. However, I can see Arden LOVING this oven and will put it on the Christmas Gift list. Thanks!

The oven reminds me of the littlest toaster. I love it. I used to get Leap Frog for Sammie & now I can't wait to get it for the grandkids.

That is so awesome. My kids would love those toys. We are big leap frog fans in this house, we have both violet talking dogs and the musical tea pot mesmerizes my 10 month old son. How did you become a leap frog ambassador? That is such a fabulous opportunity!
