The other day I spotted a huge bag of pumpkin shaped marshmallows and it was love at first sight. However, I jumped into this love affair too quickly… and soon discovered the truth about my puffy pumpkin lover. These aren’t pumpkin FLAVORED. It is just a regular old marshmallow, moonlighting as a big, orange pumpkin.

Yes I realize now it says VANILLA on the bottom, but whatever. They should totally be pumpkin flavored. |
My fault for assuming these were pumpkin flavored (isn’t everything pumpkin flavored this month??) but once I got over the initial disappointment I realized these were really good. I LOVE chocolate covered marshmallows, and I thought these would be perfect to use to make some at home, since they are so big!
I just microwaved dark chocolate chips until they melted, added a bit of coconut oil to make it smooth, dipped the marshallows and threw on some Halloween sprinkles. Then just set them on parchment or wax paper and put them in the fridge. They were so good & my kids loved them!

Also, I saw the Wilton monster cupcake kit againt this year at stores… I made them last year and they turned out super cute.
So if you need some help getting into the Halloween spirit, but are short on time… now you are set! I just gave you two simple & festive ideas!
These are so cute! There is a woman in the area who makes the most delicious marshmallows in all sorts of flavors, including pumpkin. Sweet Lydia's, if you want to check them out. I believe you can order them!
I will look them up!! ๐ I hope you are having a great week!
These are adorable and I love the edition of the sprinkles ๐
Thank you! Gotta throw on as much Halloween spirit as I can!
These are so adorable! The only time I eat marshmallows is when I have s'mores. However, that said, my daughter would LOVE these-and I would likely eat one or two…Now I need to see if my store has them! Haha!
They are REALLY, really good! I like marshmallows best when they are warm or covered in chocolate!
How adorable! I don't even have kids and I want to make these ๐
Well if it makes you feel better, I ATE more than my kids did! ha!
Super cute! I like the addition of the sprinkles too. My kids love marshmallows! The other day at the park my son even asked if some mushrooms in the grass were marshmallows.
ha! You know, mushrooms totally can look very marshmallow-like! These are really good!
This looks SOOO gourmet, but really easy to make!
Yup, it took just minutes! If you take a tiny bit more time… they could look REALLY good.
I wish the marshmallows actually did taste like pumpkin! Then they would be AMAZING!:) these are super cute still.
I know! But they are still really good!! ๐
YUM!
YES! ๐
SO cute and easy!?!? Pumpkin marshmallows….GENIUS!
I know! I actually spotted them in someone else's cart.. and went searching through Publix until I found them! ha!
What a unique and creative idea. Addition of sprinkles added such a festive look. Love it!
Thank you! It was fun to make with the kids!
So cute! My kids would love them since they are obsessed with everything chocolate and marshmallows.
Your kids sound a lot like me! ha! ๐
These are fabulous! I'd sprinkle with a little crumbled graham cracker for a smore pumpkin haha!
That sounds amazing!
Yumm! What a great idea!
Thank you! I hope you are having a great week!
These are just too cute! I wish I had seen them before my party on Saturday!
Yes, these are perfect for a party! I am actually making them again this weekend! ๐
Who would have thought?! Definitely need to add this one to the list of things to make for my kids to sugar them up even more, lol!
haha I am totally guilty of making sweets for my 'kids' since I want to eat them!
Simple and so cute! (I would have thought they were pumpkin flavoured too, lol)
PS don't be scared to come back to scoping. The initial jump may be daunting, but we want to see you when you're ready xo
Alana you are so sweet and I am so thankful I have 'met' you through your blog group and gotten to know you so much better through scoping!! I will come back.. promise!
Such a cute idea and so easy… I might even try to make these ๐ Thanks for sharing ๐
They are REALLY easy, the only tricky part is the consistency of the chocolate, but the coconut oil (or a little bit of any oil) really helps!
Looks so good! And sounds easy to make! Just might try this at home!
It is really easy! I hope all is well with you!
Omg! Not going to lie, I hate all things pumpkin flavor and always assumed the pumpkin marshmallows were pumpkin…. And you just made me so happy because now I know they're not lol…. Cute treat ๐
hahahaha well there you go.. I am glad they make you happy in all their vanilla glory!
Those look so super cute, great idea! This is making me wish my kids were little again to bake with!
Cute idea! I honestly only like a few things pumpkin flavor & don't even like pumpkin pie (maybe it's the texture, lol. I hope you enjoyed your yummy treat.
Well you can hop on the pumpkin bandwagon with this dessert and avoid any pumpkin taste!
