DIY Tassel bracelet

I have been seeing all sorts of cute tassel bracelets on Instagram lately, but there is just no way I am spending 20 bucks for one. So I decided to try and make my own and I think they turned out great! They were SUPER cheap to make and so far, have held up really well.

Here’s what you’ll need:
Stretchy clear jewelry cord
Beads
String
A credit card or gift card
Scissors

I make my tassels first. Just pick your string color (or a few if you want a multi-colored tassel) and wrap it around the card until your tassel is the size you want it. Then carefully slide the circle out. I find it easier to put the string through that you will be using at the actual bracelet part BEFORE tying the tassel. Then just take another small piece of string and tie in a circle around the top part of the tassel, then cut the circle at the bottom to create the tassel part of it. You can make your tassel as long or short as you would like. (I like mine on the longer & more obnoxious side.. since if you can’t have fun with a neon tassel bracelet… then what CAN you have fun with?)

Then I bead it up with whatever beads I like… tie it in a knot to fit my wrist and then you are DONE!  You can create so many different looks with this, any craft store has hundreds of different kinds of beads and string. SO easy & perfect for summer!

I can never decide if I like tassels or pom poms better. Each time I see a cute idea with one I think I like that best, then I see another and change my mind! I have a pinterest board for each so this is going on my tassel ideas board for sure. Maybe I can just accept both are lovely!
