Moon Dough & #OperationSummerFun

Awhile back I read about how you could make a cool dough using cornstarch and foam shaving cream. I got the stuff to make it a few weeks ago, and this weekend when it was overcast we went out on the patio to make it. I didn’t take many pictures, since I wasn’t planning to blog about it, but the whole thing was SO COOL! The kids were obsessed and played with it for a good hour! So sorry about the lack of pictures, but I wanted to still share the recipe since it is such an easy and fun activity.

All you need is 2 boxes of cornstarch (16 ounce each) & foam shaving cream. (I got it at the dollar store) Just dump the cornstarch into a plastic bin, cover it with all the shaving cream and go to town! Just keep mushing it all together and eventually it turns into the softest sand. You can mold it into shapes and it will stay, but once you smash it apart it crumbles right back into sand. Very neat. I was impressed by how well it worked and how much fun the kids had with it. I have these mini plastic sand molds for the beach, so next time we do this I will bring those out since I think they would be fun to use with the dough.

Also a HUGE shoutout to everyone who is taking part in #OperationSummerFun! Here are just a few of my favorites from Instagram this week. All you have to do is use the hashtag #OperationSummerFun so I can feature you and your blog/business.

I know, I couldnt believe how easy it was. We just used the whole can. The corn starch keeps absorbing it, so it feels dry but still sticks together. It is the coolest!
