Misha’s Cupcakes: Cake in a Jar! (& a Grand Opening party!)

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, why not send some love… with these adorable cakes in a jar! If you live in South Florida, you have definitely heard of Misha’s Cupcakes. She sells her sweet treats nationally, and recently unveiled her newest masterpiece… a cake in a jar!

Cake in a jar!

Misha is known locally as the Queen of Cupcakes, and having tasted them, I can promise you they would be impossible for me to re-create at home. However, you can make a copycat cake in a jar… with a little bit of planning.

Can you say, “YUM?”

I found these small jars available on a wholesale site, you could get 36 6oz jars for 20 bucks! (sounds like a great deal, but I have no clue about the quality, but for a one use thing… I am sure it would work!)

Just make a batch of your favorite cupcakes, then cut them in half. Put one half at the bottom of the jar, then put frosting and your sprinkles or toppings of choice. Pop on the top half of your cupcake, repeat the frosting dance… screw the top on and you are DONE!

These would work for kids parties, classroom events, co-workers, baby showers… so many options! Decorate the jar with a ribbon, bow or even a customized sticker on the top. (Who wouldn’t want their own personal jar of CAKE?!)

Misha has locations across South Florida, and she is finally opening up a location in my neck of the woods! Broward ladies, listen up… she is hosting a champagne and cupcakes party to celebrate the grand opening of her Pembroke Pines location… and YOU are invited! (and it’s free! Woot! Woot!)

Even if you can’t go to the party, be sure to check out Misha’s Cupcakes on the web, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!

Her stuff is SO good, she gives me tips, but I can never make them as good as she does! (like she always uses salted butter, even though most cake and cupcake recipes call for unsalted!)

Although this sort of thing looks good, it's suicide for me to eat it. I've got to get my blood sugar down!
