Another month, gone! I am late posting my Family Favorites for September, yet I have already decorated my house for Halloween! (priorities, people) So without further ado, here’s it what we are currently obsessing over!
Lauren:
NYX Orange Concealer
I have been getting very little sleep, thanks to a sweet little girl who no longer wanted to be in a crib. Combine that with the fact that I have dark circles all the time and I look like one very tired momma! Which is why my FAVORITE thing this month is my NYX orange concealer. I found this on a YouTube beauty tutorial once about covering dark circles and I love it. You put this on first, and yes… it is ORANGE on your skin… but then you go over it with your regular concealer. It counteracts the blue color and covers my circles better than anything else I have ever used. I put it on with a Sigma concealer brush. (also a YouTube recommendation)

Donnie:
Starbucks Iced Coffee
So my husband can NEVER go food shopping since he is the definition of an impulse buyer, but I am SO glad he brought this home one day. Actually this could easily qualify as both of our favorite things this month, since we are so obsessed with this coffee! This is just Starbucks brewed coffee that is sold in the refrigerated section. Sounds pretty simple, right? Except for the fact that it tastes SO FREAKING AMAZING! We get the unsweetened kind, but something has to be in there, since we can both drink it black, that is how good it is. We have tried brewing our own starbucks and then popping it in the fridge but it doesn’t taste nearly as good. So far, I have only seen this at Target and Wal-mart… nothing at Publix yet. So if you love coffee, seriously don’t try this… because if you do you will find yourself dropping an extra 8 bucks (we buy two) every single time you get groceries.

Hudson:
MagnaTiles
I had never heard of MagnaTiles until my sister-in-law bought Hudson a set a few years back for his birthday. She got him more for his following birthday after I told her how much he loved them. So now we have two sets of these amazing MagnaTiles, and it is the one toy that he always goes back to. Hudson has been playing with these from the moment he got them (I think he was 4 then) and now at 6, this is easily one of his favorite toys. Basically, they are shapes that are magnetic around the edges, so you can build anything with them. They just work so well. Hudson plays with these by himself, when friends are over, and we often see what we can build as a family, using every single MagnaTile. They are awesome!

Mila:
Toddler channel on Pandora
Baby girl has a song in her heart. The radio, a musical toy, a catchy commercial… it doesn’t take much to get Mila to sing and dance. It is her favorite thing to do these days. If you ask her to sing a song she will happily oblige, with some made up mumblings, that almost always involved equally dramatic hand movements. Lately I have been putting Pandora’s toddler channel on while I get ready or in the car. She LOVES it. There are a few songs she immediately gets excited to hear (5 little monkeys jumping on the bed, anyone?) but she tries to sing along with everything and claps and says. “YAY!!” after the song ends.
Here is just a short clip of her lyrical stylings… she always stops once she realizes I am recording her.
**Nothing in my family favorites posts are sponsored, if they are, I will tell you! (promise!)
Oh I love the Magnatiles. My former play of work had them and they were a hit! I've been wanting to get them for my girls but they're kind of expensive. I might put it on their Christmas lists this year though.
Mila singing – hilarious!
Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
xoxo
They are SOO expensive! It's crazy.. I don't think I would have ever got them if my sister in law didn't buy them for us, but they really are a good toy, they have lasted LOTS of very tough play! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! 😉
I've never heard of magnatiles, I'm sure my kids would love them! I'm a sucker for iced coffee too, it's just not the same when you make it at home. As for the concealer-I appreciate the tip!! I can definitely use the help with my tired mama eyes. I LOVE it when my kids sing and dance, it is the sweetest thing ever! Mila is a doll!!
Its our new routine, every night after dinner Hudson asks her to sing us a song.. and she will carry on for at least 10 minutes! It's too funny! You should def check out Magnatiles, they should send me some more after all this good press! ha!
Starbucks sells their iced coffee!!!! There is now a Katie shaped hole in my front door as I run to get some 🙂 These are all awesome finds 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!!

I haven't heard of magna tiles either. This is the first Christmas we're not at all sure what to get our daughter. She is just shy of seven. I'll have to check them out. Thanks!
They are awesome! Let me know how she likes them! 🙂
