Greek Yogurt Obsession

I always bring my lunch to work. And since I have been eating better and counting calories, I end up bringing almost the same foods. Every. Single. Day. The saaaaaame things. After 3 months of this, I am happier with the way I look and feel but I am OVER lunch. I’m sick of the same soups, salads, and wraps.

Which is how I came to find my current love, Greek yogurt. I had NO idea how many different ways you could use it… and how many things it can replace. Since mayo has too many calories my favorite tuna & chicken salads have been out of the mix, but I found a NEW way to make them and I am obsessed.

Sriracha Tuna Salad: this is just a can a tuna, zero calorie Greek yogurt, and sriracha. Mix it together to your liking & you’re done! I like a lot of yogurt. It is so good, and I use it in wraps or pitas with a little spinach and tomato.

Cranberry Tuna Salad: This is a copycat version of the kind I love from Whole Foods, that is made with mayonnaise. It’s tuna, Greek yogurt, red onions, & dried cranberries. Yum.

I also make egg salad using Greek yogurt now, with a tiny bit of mustard and paprika.

When I don’t have time to make lunch I occasionally bring microwave meals. There’s a organic chili meal I have been loving, and I bring Greek yogurt to dollop on top like sour cream. (I also use it as sour cream when we do fajita/taco night dinner at home)

I should also mention that 1 cup of the non-fat version from Fage has only 130 calories, 23 grams of protein, and 9 carbs. Boom.

Those are just a few examples of why I love Greek yogurt… and if you don’t believe me, just go to my Obsessed with Greek Yogurt board on Pinterest. There are TONS of other ideas there that I have yet to try!

Mmmm I had never thought of tuna with greek yoghurt, I love yoghurt and only had it with mayo before or cheese, so will be sure to try this out.
