So I got to have some fun on a Thursday night, thanks to the grand opening of the Just Air blow dry bar in Weston.
I grew up here, and recently moved back, so I know just how rare these events are in our little city.
A friend was supposed to join me, but then couldn’t make it. (I won’t call her out though… Jen. Herrera.) I decided to put on my big girl panties and go alone, and I’m glad I did.
The salon is beautiful, I already knew that since I gave the place a try last week. The salon chairs were gone though, and so were the rows of products… Replaced with stacks of champagne glasses & bright green martinis. (to match the decor… Obviously) They even used the shampoo sinks to chill champagne!
I started speaking with a fabulous woman who had awesome yellow eyeliner and soon discovered she was a beauty blogger! Lucy of 2Gen Beauty was so nice & had some great blogging tips to share! She even had blogger business cards which was super impressive! (Note to self: get biz cards)
I spoke with one of the salons owners, Brooke, who told me she decided to open a Weston location since she realized there wasn’t anything like it in the area and she thought the ladies living here would love it. (& she was right!)
I met a few more people, saw a belly dancer, a fire eater, some hot cocktail waiters, and a LOT of side boob. Pretty awesome for a weeknight.
They even had goody bags! Everyone got a bag with a container of dry shampoo (Perfect for me since I hate to wash my hair) & spray in conditioner. There was also a key chain & a Maserati catalog & calendar. (In case you’re in the market…)
I left after an hour, since I wanted to see the kids before they went to bed, but it was definitely a fun adventure for this busy momma! I wish the salon the best of luck and remember to support local businesses!

Fun! I know Lucy and she's awesome. I highly recommend business cards, too. We have them and hand them out at networking events and conferences. My friend lives in Weston. We might need to make a date of it to this salon.
