My husband works for a hospital and this weekend he had to help work their booth at the Delray Affair for a few hours. So we decided to make the best of it, and make it a family affair!

The Delray Affair is a huge arts & crafts festival in Downtown Delray Beach. We used to live in Delray a few years back, so we love hanging out there when we can. While these events are extremely hectic with a one year old in tow, I think they are worth the extra effort since the kids can learn so much.
It was hot but we had a BLAST! First, we dropped Donnie off at his booth and then I went walking around with the kids. This is a 12 block festival, so we barely scratched the surface of what they had to offer.

Here are a few of my favorite booths:
D’Marie: This place sells something called Frappe Vino, which is a kit that lets you make frozen wine slushies! SAY WHATTTTT! They had samples and they were so good! Here’s the explainer from their website:
“It’s so simple to prepare, just use a 750ml bottle of wine, refill with water, add our mix and place in your freezer. In 3-5 hours you will have a wonderful frozen drink!”
I think this would be really fun & different if you have friends over for a pool party of BBQ. The company is based in Winter Springs, Florida.

Hickity-Pickity: This booth has seriously the cutest baby & little girl cover ups, bubble rompers, and skirts. They also had adorable hats, dresses & bathing suits.

I also saw lots of great custom signs & beachy décor that would look great on a patio.
It was nice since most of the artists were actually there working the booths, and they were very kid-friendly. (mostly) So lots of times when Hudson would point out something cool about a picture or art piece, the artist would come explain where they came up with idea and how long it takes them to make it, etc. My son learned so much, and it was totally by accident! (he also lost his second tooth while we were taking a air conditioning break at Starbucks, very eventful day!)

After Hudson got tired of walking and Mila ripped off her hat for the 367th time, we went back to Donnie’s booth. The kids got to help by assembling the cups they were handing out.

When he was done, we walked around some more, found a classic car show
(random) & Hudson got to sit on a Ironman motorcycle. Overall, a
pretty awesome and educational day with the fam.

I love all the local vendors! It definitely looks like something that me and my husband to check out.
Yes! I thought of you while I was there!!
thank you for your sweet comments, they mean the world to us!!
Of course! I easily could have bought EVERYTHING in your booth! SO cute!!
We love Delray, too. When we first moved here, we stayed with my sister who lives near Atlantic. Sad to have missed Delray Affair this weekend but so many other events/birthday parties going on. Next time.

We miss living there! We lived on Federal, and it was so much fun! Now we are so far west… ugh. 😉
