I am not a fashion-y person. Not even close. I suck at fashion. I never know what is ‘in’ or ‘current’ and I am totally okay with that. However, I am a mom and I can tell you that there is a bathing suit trend that has made me as happy as can be. It’s something I have dubbed the ‘ruffly, swingy, bathing suit top.’
Ever since I have had kids, bathing suits have been an issue. Bikini’s and kids don’t mix. They grab on to me in the water and my boobs go everywhere. Running after them at the beach and my boobs go everywhere. Do you see the problem here? While I am far (very far) from a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, I am not ready to rock a one piece yet. I was looking to get a tankini this season, since I am sick of boob-gate. But in my search for a perfect mommy-suit… I found the most amazing solution.

Google ‘hanky top’ and look at all the cute suits that come up! |
I’ve searched websites and its usually called a “flutter” or “hanky” top. Its like a sports bra with a ruffly thing over it. It holds the girls in tight, and still looks like a fun, flirty bikini. I actually think it is pretty flattering and makes your waist look slimmer. I came across my first one at TJ Maxx this past weekend.

Then I saw they had a bunch of them at Target, so I also ended up getting a blue one (with my 20% off discount through the target cartwheel app, thank you very much) I would buy a million of these suits if I could (I probably will, let’s be honest) and I hope they never, ever go out of style.
Give it a try, your boobies will thank you.
I tried one of these on at TJ Maxx too last month and I agree, I love how the top is fun and flirty but isn't all about boobage! Big or small I think it can work for both up top!!! I didn't buy one, but I've been meaning to go back and get one.
That's a great point, it can definitely work for all bra sizes! I love it cause it feels like I'm wearing a sports bra!
