So my sweet girl just turned a year this past weekend. I can’t believe how fast that first year went by! I can believe, however, that I am not yet back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Some women bounce right back after having a baby, I am NOT one of those people. At 34 years old, those extra pounds don’t just go away by themselves. It’s a tough realization, but you can fix it. It just sucks.

My hubs and I at a wedding in December, our matching double chins was a major wake-up call. |

The only way have I even been able to lose weight and keep it off is the old fashioned way. Counting calories and working out. That’s it. It’s the only thing that works for me. But nowadays, its a lot easier to do it. There are some really good apps out there that help. My latest obsession is MyFitnessPal. You start by typing in your starting weight and your goal weight and then the app tells you how many calories you should be eating a day. You can also type in whatever workouts you do. (then you get EXTRA calories for that day… woot woot!)

Scan it and… |
You can also link up with your friends on there, to check up on each other
and help motivate. The only person I follow is my husband and we help
keep each other in check. But my favorite part about this app is that
every food is in there! All you do is scan your food’s bar code.. and
the nutritional info is right there! Seriously, I think only one food I
have scanned before has not come up… which is why I love this app so
much. (and no they aren’t paying me or anything to say all this)
Now that I am on this big health kick… tell me about some of your favorite fitness apps!! I would really love a great workout app that would help motivate me!
