I hope everyone is having a wonderful September so far! Hudson is doing really well with his reading these days, and we are definitely due for a trip to the library soon! He is running out of things to read!
Hudson:
DC Super Heroes Batman Ultimate Sticker Collection
So this book somehow ended up in my car, and Hudson has been reading it every morning on his way to school. It *is* a sticker book, but there are also plenty of stories. Since he decorates the pages with stickers, I find he really tries to read the story that goes along with it, even though it is above his reading level. I also love the way I find his sister decorated with stickers when I take her out of the car.
National Geographic Kids Books
I got a set of these books from Zulily awhile ago, since they were a really good deal. Hudson is just now starting to read these, and he is really loving the shark one. (which surprises me a bit, since some of the pictures are freaking scary!) The books are educational, with great pictures. We have a variety of level 1 & 2 books, which is perfect for his reading level.
Mila:
Hello by Highlights
Mila’s wonderful Grandma got her a subscription to ‘Hello’ which is by Highlights, and is for kids ages 0-2. Mila LOVES the magazine and the little book she got. She does a great job finding the items in the picture. I am looking forward to more deliveries
Fisher-Price: Touch & Feel Adventure: Discovering Colors & Textures
Hudson used to love this book, and now Mila wants me to read it to her 137 times an hour. I am seriously over this book, but she loves it. There isn’t much to read… but she likes when I ‘quiz’ her. “Where is the red flower?” “Where is the little bug?” The she points to it and gets so darn excited that I forget for a moment how much I secretly want to throw this book in the trash.
I can’t believe it is almost October! I have only had ONE pumpkin spice latte this month, so I really need to step up my coffee game! I love FALL!
I remember Highlights as a child…that Hello is definitely something I need to check out! My boys are certainly into their books…and placing them all over the floor, and no matter how much I try to steer them toward new books, they always manage to go back to the "go to's"!!
I love fall too! And with fall, comes more trips to the library. Hadn't heard of the books your daughter loves, mso we will have to check them out!
Yes, let me know if your kids get obsessed with them too! Thanks for stopping by!
yay for Fall!!
Pumpkin Spice Lattes all around! Woot Woot! 😉
I'm adding these books to my list of books to buy!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope your kids enjoy them!
I love Highlights! I just recently bought a "workbook" of all the popular Highlights activities at Costco. It's a great go-to activity book for kids that complain there's nothing to do.
Happy SITS Day!
I also love fall. Pumpkin things excite me.
Yes, pumpkin EVERYTHING! Thank you for stopping by on my SITS day! 🙂
OMG– I totally remember Highlights. This is awesome. LOVE IT. You are like the only one who does this review. I use it all the time. Great information.
Thank you, it is one of my favorite posts too! 😉
you're cool.
I concur 😉
This post brought back happy memories of my favorite books when I was a kid. I love pumpkin spice lattes, too! Happy SITS Day!
Thank you for stopping by Judith! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for sharing at the #WWDParty.
😉
I really like the National Geographic books. My daughter used to have that pink shirt. So cute. Thanks for the book picks.
My kids and I love to read. My youngest is 9 months and its hard to believe that she actually sits still long enough for me to read to her. Thanks for sharing with us at Mommy Needs a Time out Thursday.
Hey Lauren! Thanks so much for linking up with us last week. You have been great about helping our new linky! Hope you can join us again today for Mommy Needs a Timeout Thursday! See you there!

My mother-in-law still sends the kiddos the free Highlights she gets, I don't know why she gets them, but when she sends them the littles love to read them, and do the sticker scavenger hunt.
One PSL… oh my! I've slowed it down this fall with the PSLs but I'm still going strong 🙂
Happy Fall!
