There Are Benefits of Co-Sleeping with Toddlers

I occasionally write for SmartMom.com and I figured I
should start sharing what I write with you guys, since it’s still me…
just published somewhere else. Here’s my latest post for them!

There’s been a lot of talk about attachment parenting lately and I’ve
always been skeptical. But it turns out there are actually a lot of
benefits of co-sleeping with toddlers! A good friend of mine once told
me, “Don’t ever let your kids in your bed, because you will never get
them out.” That advice stayed with me. When I had my son, I was very
careful not to bring him into our bed, since I didn’t want to start a
“bad habit.” Even when he got a bit older, if something was wrong, or if
he woke up scared… I would go back into his room with him and sleep in
his bed, instead of letting him stay in ours.

Fast forward 5 years to my second child… click to to read the rest on SmartMom.com.

I'm co-sleeping with my toddler right now! Love it. =) We bought a king bed so there is plenty of room.

I know lots of people who co-sleep, but it's not for me. I have a hard time sharing the bed with my husband. I couldn't imagine bringing my kids into bed as well. But as I said, many of my friends do it. More power to them!

Yeah I am a very light sleeper, so I def dont sleep as well. (but my daughter is VERY loud so I either can be there with her in silence, or listen to her scream from my bed! ha!)

Hehe I'm living the co-sleep life as well… As much as my hubby and I complain about how she takes up the whole bed… I secretly love it!

I like it much more the second time around.. I was NOT having it with my son. Now I am always like "Want to watch movies and have a sleepover in our room??" and he says "Umm.. NO." 🙁

We always, always co-sleep! I love it! We need a king size though. We've been saving for one, because dude. There is just not enough room for all of us.

My daughter finds her way into our room usually between 2-6AM unless she sleeps through the night (which is rare). I hate her sleeping in bed with us but my hubby loves it and I am just too lazy to put her back so she stays 🙂
