November is here, and with Thanksgiving right around the corner, it is a good time to remind ourselves everything we have to be thankful for. When you focus on the positive, you tend to forget about the negative. That’s why I like to keep a thankful journal. Each night, or when I remember, I write down 10 things I am thankful for. It can be something as simple as I liked what I had for lunch today… or I am grateful for my two amazing children. Then I go to bed each night with all those positive thoughts it my head. Pretty great idea, right?
Right now, The Home Depot is running a giveaway called , 10,000 Thanks. For each entry, they will donate $3 to Volunteers of America. (up to $30,000) And if you tell them about someone you are thankful for, you can get even more entries!
The contest got me thinking about who I am thankful for. There’s a long list of people I could easily name, but if I had to narrow it down to only one person, it would be my husband. Donnie makes my thankful journal list almost every night.

I love stories of how people meet their spouse's. I'm thankful for mine every day, although sometimes I don't do a great job at showing him.

Wow, together since age 19?! Congrats!!! I'm thankful for a warm house right now since this time a few years ago we had several power outages just as winter was getting closer!!
