So long, April. I won’t miss you. April was bananas. I hardly had time to blog, which sucked since I really ENJOY blogging and connecting with everyone. So yay for May… but first… it is time for April family favorites!
Lauren:
J. Crew Factory Sylvia Patent Wedges
I am obsessed with these shoes. I have been wearing lots of dresses to work since the weather has warmed up, and these wedges have been getting a ton of wear. They look polished and are the perfect height. But the main reason I love these shoes is that they are SO FREAKING COMFORTABLE. The most comfy shoes ever. After wearing the black pair for about a week, I hopped online and ordered the blush pair, which is a peachy nude. I usually wear flats to work since I am always running around, especially if there is breaking news. But with these shoes I have been looking all sorts of professional. I don’t have any pictures of me wearing them, since I don’t take full length pics of myself at work. (go figure) Pretty sure these are are always on the factory website, so if you are interested.. sign up for email alerts and buy them when they are 40% off. (which is often)
Donnie:
Our Boat
We live on a lake and my awesome father-in-law gave us this boat with a detachable motor a few months ago and we just started really using it. When we have our nephews over they love going on it with Donnie or Uncle Jeff. Donnie has been using it to take Hudson fishing, but now that Mila is a bit older we decided it was time for a family cruise. We had so much fun! Now Donnie is looking into new fishing poles… etc.
Hudson:
Lego Ultra Agents set
He loves everything about this set, and I have to say it is pretty cool. It shoots out daggers and the wheels can flip up to make it a hover craft. He brings it to school all the time and carefully puts it back together each night after it gets destroyed in his bag. (“I keep forgetting it is in there and then I throw my backpack on the ground!” haha! Love him!)
Mila:
Minnie Mouse Plastic Tea Set
Mila is tea obsessed. She got this tea set from her Grandma and I think they started playing tea time together at first. Now Mila is all about it. The whole family has enjoyed tea time. (even Hudson will sit with her!! So sweet!) She is constantly saying, “TEA TIME!!! TEA TIME, momma!! Come on! Come on!” I know how fast time flies by with these kids, so when she asks for tea time, we have tea time. I fill her tea pot with water and off we go. I have been late for work more than once the past month because of these tea time dates… and every single time it has been worth it.

Yes, tea time is like the 4th course in our house these days. We don't go a day without it! ha!
i love the lake boat thing… won't work on a pool or golf course tho… shoot. And TEA TIME is always a thing for girls. sweet sweet girls!

I love fishing so much! I can't wait to start taking the kids out to show them the ropes! That's so awesome you guys live on a lake, and you have a boat. Super convenient!! My daughter is really into tea time also. She makes her baby brother play with her….and, he's usually up for it.
Yeah, its a man made lake, it goes through all the neighborhoods nothing too fancy… but there are fish in there! We've caught a few pretty respectable sized bass! 😉

I love wedges and those are adorable! I miss wearing heels, I haven't since I was first pregnant three years ago! I kept tripping in them which just wasn't good.
Yeah… heels kind of suck so you arent missing much. I really bet you wouldnt trip in these though!!
