If you know me, you know I love wine. A lot. Like a true, deep, soul-mate love. So when O Wines offered to send me some wine, for free… I jumped for joy and said “Cheers!” Then I started reading up about the company. It turns out the O stands for opportunity, since a portion of your wine purchase helps send young women to college, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it. Now we all know I don’t need an excuse to drink… but if I did… that would be a darn good one!
So far, the company has raised more than $300,000 to support 52 college scholarships! For most of these women, they are the first member of their family to go to college. If that doesn’t make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside… the wine will help.
Speaking of the wine, it may help a fantastic cause, but how does it taste? I am happy to report it is super good! Right now they have two wines, a chardonnay and a red. The red wine was my favorite! It is a mix of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah. For 16 bucks, I am definitely going to be ordering more. The Chardonnay is a good, crisp white that is not too sweet, and costs 12 dollars.
